Texas Wire Buyers

Terms of Use for the Texas Wire Buyers Website

These Terms of Use explain how you may use the Texas Wire Buyers website and submit surplus wire for evaluation. We buy reusable wire and cable for resale and reuse, not as scrap. Review these terms before sending photos, inventory details, or an offer request.

Scope of These Terms of Use

These Terms of Use apply to your use of texaswirebuyers.com and the information you submit through the website. By using the website or submitting material for review, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or submit information through it.

Website content describes our interest in reusable surplus electrical wire and cable. Descriptions on our wire and cable we buy page are informational; listing a wire type does not mean we will purchase every lot of that material.

Website Information Is Not a Binding Purchase Offer

Website descriptions, general discussions of value, and requests for additional information are not binding purchase offers. No offer is binding until confirmed in writing. Sending an inventory list or photographs does not obligate you to sell or obligate us to buy.

We review the submitted material and make a written offer before pickup. Payment method and timing are confirmed in writing before pickup, and we check the count against the written terms when receiving the material. Review our wire-selling process before arranging a transaction.

Accuracy and Authority When Submitting Wire

You must provide accurate information to the best of your knowledge and have authority to sell the material you submit. Identify estimated footage as an estimate, and disclose known damage, prior use, missing labels, or uncertainty about wire specifications. Do not submit another business’s inventory without permission.

We verify the seller and proof of ownership, such as an invoice, purchase order, closeout paperwork, or company letter, and keep a written purchase record. Our Texas seller paperwork guide explains the documentation to prepare.

Permission to Review Submitted Photos and Lists

You retain ownership of the photos, inventory lists, and other materials you submit. By sending them, you grant Texas Wire Buyers a nonexclusive permission to receive, store, copy, and review those materials for evaluating your lot, communicating with you, and documenting the proposed or completed purchase.

This permission does not transfer ownership of your photos or authorize unrelated advertising use. Submit only materials you own or are authorized to share. Our wire photography guide explains useful views, including reel tags, jacket print legends, cut ends, and the whole lot.

No Warranty on Guides or Website Content

Our wire-selling guides provide general information, not a warranty about your material’s condition, value, suitability, or acceptance for purchase. Website content is provided as available, without a warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by law.

Do not treat a guide as an electrical inspection, installation instruction, or confirmation that used cable is safe to reinstall. Actual markings, condition, storage history, and application requirements matter. A description or photograph alone cannot establish suitability for an installation.

Texas Law and Written Transaction Terms

Texas law governs these Terms of Use, subject to applicable law. These website terms address website use and submissions; the written terms confirmed for a particular purchase address that transaction.

Before pickup, review the material description, quantity or footage estimates, payment method, and payment timing in the written terms. Raise any discrepancy before proceeding rather than relying on a general website statement. We arrange pickup anywhere in Texas; Houston drop-offs are by appointment, so call first.

Common questions

Does submitting my wire information commit me to selling?

No. Sending photos, footage estimates, or an inventory list requests an evaluation; it does not by itself create a purchase agreement. No offer is binding until confirmed in writing. Review the written terms and ask about any differences in the material description, quantity, or payment arrangements before proceeding.

Can I get money for old cables?

Old cables may have resale value if they remain reusable. We consider used cable in reusable condition, including decommissioned power and battery cables with lugs and re-reeled cable. Send clear photos and disclose prior use or damage. If the material is not reusable, we will say so; a scrap recycler may be more appropriate.

What should I do with unused electrical wire?

Keep the wire identified and document what you have before requesting an offer. Photograph reel tags, jacket markings, cut ends, and the whole lot, then provide a list or footage estimate. We consider full reels, partial reels, boxed coils, cut lengths, and project leftovers, with any purchase subject to written confirmation.

Can I submit photos taken by someone else at my company?

Yes, if you have permission to share those photos and authority to submit the material for sale. Make sure the images accurately represent the lot being offered. The submission permission allows us to review and retain materials for evaluation, communication, and purchase documentation; it does not transfer ownership of the photographs.

Have surplus wire or cable to sell?
