Sell Aluminum Wire by Type, Size and Usable Length
We buy new and unused aluminum wire from project leftovers, cancelled orders, distributor overstock and plant inventory. Full reels are not the only option: partial reels, boxed coils and identifiable cut lengths can also have reuse value. Used aluminum cable is considered when it remains in reusable condition.
Start with the conductor size, cable designation, number of conductors and estimated length of each piece. Keep different sizes and constructions separate in your list. A reel of single-conductor building wire needs a different description from a multiconductor feeder, even when both contain the same aluminum conductor size.
Aluminum Building Wire, XHHW-2 and Large Feeders
For aluminum building wire, photograph the jacket legend so we can read the size, insulation designation, voltage rating and manufacturer markings. Include color and any footage information on the reel tag. For large feeders, distinguish AWG sizes such as 1/0 or 4/0 from kcmil sizes such as 250, 500 or 750.
Our XHHW-2 wire buying page explains the identification details for that insulation type. If your material is marked USE-2 or RHW-2 instead, include those exact markings rather than describing it simply as aluminum feeder wire. Preserve readable labels and keep reel ends secured while preparing your inventory.
- List each feeder length individually rather than combining several pieces into one total.
- Show cut ends clearly enough to distinguish conductor construction and visible condition.
- Tell us if cable was installed, pulled out, re-reeled or never used.

SER, URD and MC With Aluminum Conductors
Aluminum SER service entrance cable should be listed by its complete conductor configuration, including the neutral and grounding conductor sizes where shown. A gray outer jacket alone does not identify the cable. Use the reel tag and jacket printing together, and see our SER and SEU cable details for more identification guidance.
For URD, specify duplex, triplex or quadruplex construction and record the markings on the individual insulated conductors. Send a whole-reel photo as well as close-ups; our URD cable buying page covers this material separately. For MC, confirm that the conductors are aluminum: aluminum armor does not establish the conductor metal.
Keep SER, URD and MC separated in your inventory even when the sizes look similar. Construction, ratings and available continuous footage affect how each lot can be evaluated for reuse.
Have reel tags or a footage list? Send photos and we will review the lot.
Get an offerWhy Surplus Aluminum Cable Is Different From Scrap
Reusable wire is usually worth more sold as product than sold as scrap by weight because the buyer is paying for usable cable, not just its aluminum content. Readable specifications, sound insulation and useful continuous lengths help establish that product value. Total weight alone cannot describe what you have.
Before stripping or cutting surplus aluminum cable, document it in its current condition. Removing insulation or dividing a long feeder into short pieces can eliminate reuse options. Our guide to surplus wire value versus scrap price explains the distinction.
We are aluminum wire buyers for resale and reuse, not scrap buyers. If your material is not reusable, we will say so honestly; damaged, unidentified or otherwise unsuitable wire may belong with a scrap recycler instead.
Photos and Footage for an Aluminum Cable Offer
Send photos of the whole lot, every reel tag, readable jacket printing and representative cut ends. Add a list showing cable type, size, conductor count and footage for each reel or loose length. If footage is estimated, label it as an estimate rather than presenting it as a measured quantity.
You can submit the details through our wire offer form, call 951-403-5738 or email industrial832@gmail.com. If your inventory system uses the term aluminium cable buyers, send the same product details; the spelling does not change what we need to identify and assess the cable.
- Note missing tags, unreadable markings, splices or visible jacket damage.
- Describe storage conditions and whether reel ends have been protected.
- Include loose coils and cut lengths as separate entries, not hidden within a reel count.

Texas Pickup and Houston Aluminum Wire Drop-Off
We arrange pickup anywhere in Texas. Tell us where the material is stored, how many reels or coils are involved and what access or loading constraints apply. Photos showing the lot in its storage area help explain the pickup conditions without relying on a cable list alone.
We review your information and make a written offer before pickup. Payment method and timing are confirmed in writing before pickup, and we check the received count against the written terms. The wire selling process explains these steps.
You can also drop off by appointment at 6402 McGrew St, Houston, TX 77087, in southeast Houston near I-45 and Loop 610. Call 951-403-5738 first so the visit is arranged before you transport the cable.
Ownership Records and Preparing Aluminum Cable for Review
We buy reusable surplus product from businesses, verify the seller and proof of ownership, and keep a written purchase record. Have an invoice, purchase order, closeout paperwork or company letter available; our Texas wire seller paperwork guide explains the documentation.
Leave identification attached and avoid mixing loose lengths from different reels before photographing them. Keep the cable supported and protected from further damage while it is awaiting review. For lots made up mainly of remnants, our partial reels and cut lengths guidance explains how to describe separate usable pieces.
