Sell Southwire Wire and Cable From Surplus Inventory

Sell Southwire wire as reusable product, not just metal by weight. Texas Wire Buyers buys surplus SIMpull THHN, Romex, Armorlite MC and other reusable cable. Send photos, reel labels and a footage estimate so we can review your lot for a written offer.

Sell Southwire Wire From Leftover Jobs and Overstock

We buy new and unused Southwire wire from project leftovers, cancelled orders, distributor overstock and plant inventory. Full reels are useful, but partial reels, boxed coils and identifiable cut lengths can also have reuse potential. Used cable is considered when it remains in reusable condition.

If you are comparing Southwire surplus buyers, start with how the material will be evaluated. We review it as usable electrical product rather than simply copper or aluminum weight. Reusable wire is usually worth more sold as product because the buyer is paying for usable wire, not just its metal.

  • Keep different wire types, gauges, colors and lengths separated.
  • Include opened packaging and partial reels in your list rather than assuming they belong in scrap.
  • Use our offer request form to submit the available details.

SIMpull THHN: Identify the Wire Beneath the Branding

For SIMpull THHN building wire, photograph both the reel label and the jacket print. Include the conductor size, copper or aluminum identification, color, voltage rating and every insulation designation shown. A THHN/THWN-2 marking is more informative than a list that says only “Southwire wire.”

Separate small branch-circuit wire from larger feeder conductors, and list each color with its estimated remaining footage. For a partial reel, tell us whether the length comes from inventory records, jacket footage markings or an estimate. Our THHN and THWN-2 wire page explains the product details to include.

Romex Coils and Boxed NM-B Leftovers

For Southwire Romex, show the NM-B designation, conductor gauge, conductor count and package footage when available. Describe a coil as unopened, opened but unused, or previously installed. An original wrapper helps identify the product, but clear jacket markings are also useful when packaging is missing.

Keep remaining lengths separate instead of combining several pieces into one footage total. A continuous coil and several short pieces are different resale prospects, even when their total footage matches. Photograph exposed ends and any crushed, cut or discolored areas so we can assess condition. See the Romex NM-B and UF-B selling guide for related inventory.

Have reel tags or a footage list? Send photos and we will review the lot.

Armorlite MC and MC-AP Need Clear Product Labels

Southwire makes MC cable, including Armorlite and MC-AP products. When offering these materials, send the exact product name and catalog information from the label rather than describing everything as armored cable. Conductor count, gauge, grounding configuration and jacket or armor markings help distinguish one assembly from another.

Photograph the full coil or reel, the label and a visible cable end without stripping or altering the cable. Note damaged armor, sharp bends, missing packaging or uncertain lengths. We review both unopened inventory and reusable leftovers; our MC cable selling page covers the information needed for an initial review.

Reel Tags, SIMpull Solutions Labels and Footage Records

SIMpull Solutions identification can accompany the way wire is packaged or prepared for installation. Include those labels alongside the actual cable specifications so we can understand both the product and its remaining configuration. Do not rely on a SIMpull label alone to identify conductor size, insulation or footage.

An original reel tag may describe the starting quantity rather than what remains. If wire has been pulled off or re-reeled, identify that change and include the current length estimate. Our wire reel tag guide helps you locate useful fields before sending photos.

  • Photograph the entire tag straight on, with the text readable.
  • Add a close-up of the jacket legend and accessible cut ends.
  • Include one wide photo showing the whole lot and its packaging.

How We Review Your Southwire Lot for Reuse

A recognizable brand helps identify inventory, but condition and usable length still matter. Tell us how the wire was stored and identify damaged insulation, exposed conductors, weathered packaging or missing labels. We need enough information to distinguish saleable product from material that cannot reasonably be reused.

For mixed lots, make a separate entry for each wire type, size and length. Our partial reels and cut lengths guide explains how to present incomplete inventory. If the wire is not reusable, we will say so honestly; it may belong with a scrap recycler instead.

Common questions

Does Southwire make MC cable that I can sell?

Yes. Southwire makes MC cable, including Armorlite and MC-AP products. Send the label, conductor size and count, remaining footage and condition photos so we can review your surplus. We consider full reels, coils and identifiable leftovers for reuse, but the product name alone does not establish whether a particular lot is reusable.

What should I do with unused Southwire electrical wire?

Keep it labeled, separated by type and protected from damage while you prepare an inventory. Photograph original packaging, jacket markings and remaining lengths, then send the details to Texas Wire Buyers. Unused full reels, partial reels and boxed coils may be suitable for resale rather than disposal or sale solely by metal weight.

Can Romex be reused or sold after a project?

Unused Romex left after a project may be suitable for resale when its type, length and condition can be established. Previously installed cable needs a closer condition review; do not assume it remains reusable simply because the jacket looks intact. Tell us its history and photograph any staple marks, damaged areas and exposed ends.

Can I get money for old Southwire cables?

Older cable may have resale value if it is identifiable and still reusable. We review condition, specifications and usable lengths rather than age alone. Send photos before cutting it into shorter pieces or removing labels. If it cannot be reused, we will tell you; a scrap recycler may be the appropriate outlet.

Are wooden wire spools worth anything on their own?

Our buying focus is reusable wire and cable, not empty wooden spools. If your reel still holds Southwire material, photograph the cable and tag and estimate the remaining footage. Do not treat the original reel quantity as the current amount. Tell us if the reel is broken or makes handling the cable difficult.
