Sell Encore Wire: Surplus Building Wire and Cable

Sell Encore Wire surplus to Texas Wire Buyers for resale and reuse, not scrap. We review full reels, partial reels, boxed coils and usable cut lengths of THHN/THWN-2, MC, SER and NM-B cable. Send photos and a footage estimate to start.

Sell Encore Wire Left Over From Jobs or Inventory

Encore Wire is a McKinney, Texas manufacturer acquired by Prysmian in 2024. If your business has its building wire left after a project, a cancelled order or an inventory change, send us the details before treating usable material as scrap.

We buy new and unused surplus, including distributor overstock, plant inventory and project leftovers. Used cable can also be considered when it remains reusable. Keep the original labels with the material so we can identify the product rather than relying on reel appearance alone.

To request an offer for your Encore Wire, send a list or footage estimate with clear photos. Identify which quantities are confirmed and which are estimates, especially when a lot contains several partly used reels.

Encore THHN/THWN-2: Separate Sizes and Colors

For single-conductor building wire, list each size and color separately. A group of black, red, blue, white and green reels may look like one lot, but each reel can have a different gauge, rating and remaining length. Include the conductor material and the ratings printed on the jacket.

Send close-ups of the reel tags and readable jacket legends, plus a wider photo showing the entire group. For 6, 4 or 2 AWG material, make sure the size is legible rather than estimated from the outside diameter.

Our THHN and THWN-2 wire buying page explains the details to include for this wire type. Keep factory wrapping and tags intact where possible; you do not need to strip reusable wire for a product review.

Identify Encore MC, SER and NM-B Cable

Cable assemblies need more detail than a conductor size alone. Show the cable designation, conductor count, ground information and length from the packaging or jacket print. Photograph both the labeled packaging and any loose coils included in the lot.

For surplus MC cable, include a view of the interlocked armor and exposed ends so we can review the assembly. For SER service entrance cable, show the conductor configuration and printed markings rather than describing it only as service cable.

Keep unused NM-B cable in its original package when available. If a package is open or a coil has been partly used, state that clearly and estimate what remains. Brand identification helps, but the exact construction and condition still determine whether the cable is reusable.

Have reel tags or a footage list? Send photos and we will review the lot.

Partial Encore Reels and Usable Cut Lengths

A reel does not have to be full for us to review it. Partial reels, boxed coils and cut lengths can remain useful as product when their specifications, condition and available lengths can be established. Do not combine several separate pieces into one claimed continuous length.

For example, list three separate lengths individually instead of reporting only their combined footage. If footage is uncertain, mark it as an estimate and show any remaining footage markings. Our guide to partial reels and cut lengths explains how to describe these lots.

Tell us about damaged wrapping, cracked insulation, flattened armor, exposed conductors or outdoor storage. Age alone does not explain condition, and a clean-looking outer layer does not establish the condition of everything underneath.

Photos Encore Wire Surplus Buyers Need

When comparing Encore Wire surplus buyers, look for an offer based on identifiable, usable product rather than copper weight alone. Reusable wire is usually worth more sold as product than sold as scrap because the buyer is paying for usable wire, not just its metal.

Start with an overview of the whole lot, then photograph each distinct reel tag, jacket legend and cut end. Include open packages and loose material rather than showing only the best-looking reels. The wire offer photo guide can help you assemble a useful set.

Email the photos and inventory to industrial832@gmail.com, use the online form or call 951-403-5738 to discuss the lot. We review the material and make a written offer before pickup. Payment method and timing are confirmed in writing before pickup as well.

Encore Wire Pickup Across Texas and Houston Drop-Off

We arrange pickup anywhere in Texas. Tell us where the material is stored, how many reels or packages are involved, and whether they are on pallets, shelving or the ground. Mention access restrictions and available loading arrangements so those details can be discussed before pickup.

You can also drop off by appointment at 6402 McGrew St, Houston, TX 77087, in southeast Houston near I-45 and Loop 610. Call first rather than arriving with a loaded vehicle. See our Texas pickup service area for statewide logistics information.

We verify the seller and proof of ownership, such as an invoice, purchase order, closeout paperwork or company letter, and keep a written purchase record. Review our Texas wire seller paperwork guide before arranging the transfer.

Keep Encore Surplus Identifiable Until Handoff

Keep your inventory list matched to the reels and coils while the offer is being reviewed. If you remove wire for another job, sell part of the lot elsewhere or discover damaged material, tell us so the written terms can reflect what is actually available.

At pickup or drop-off, we check the count against the written terms. If material is not reusable, we say so honestly; it may belong with a scrap recycler instead. Our focus is Encore Wire that can remain electrical product, not material purchased only for metal recovery.

Common questions

What should I do with unused Encore electrical wire?

Keep it labeled and separate it by wire type, gauge, color and length. Send Texas Wire Buyers photos of the whole lot, tags, jacket markings and ends, along with an inventory or footage estimate. We review unused full reels, partial reels, coils and cut lengths for resale and reuse, then provide a written offer before pickup.

Can I get money for old Encore cables?

Older cable may have resale value if it is still in reusable condition and its specifications can be identified. Tell us whether it was installed, how it was removed and how it has been stored. Send clear condition photos rather than assuming age makes it scrap. If it is not reusable, we will say so.

Can leftover Encore NM-B cable be reused?

Unused leftover NM-B can be considered for resale when its size, conductor configuration, length and condition are identifiable. Keep the original packaging and distinguish separate cut pieces from continuous coils. Previously installed cable needs a condition review; do not assume it is reusable simply because the outer jacket appears intact.

Are wooden wire spools worth anything on their own?

Our buying focus is the reusable wire or cable, not empty wooden spools. For an Encore reel with material remaining, photograph the tag and wire and estimate the remaining footage. Describe any reel damage that could affect handling. An empty spool should not be counted as a reel of surplus wire in your inventory.

Should I strip surplus Encore copper wire before selling it?

No. If you want us to review it for reuse, leave the insulation, jacket markings and packaging intact. Stripping removes the features that make it usable electrical wire and changes it into material for metal recovery. Send photos first so we can assess the product as it is, including any damage or missing identification.
